Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born November 8, 1985) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Her most famous work is her roles in ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama series as Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress was born Maya Hartwell. She was a part of the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is Polish and was a resident of Poland for a period of time in the ninth grade. She lived there with her uncle and went to a school in Jelenia Gora. She went on to study at Vancouver Film School. Her brother introduced her to Pulp Fiction at the age 10 and she was immediately fascinated by acting. The actress began her career in 2002 and made brief appearances in the TV series Jeremiah and John Doe.From 2007 to 2009 she was the character as Andy Jensen on Kyle XY. She was a part of Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original film, in 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a series regular) in the television drama Caprica along with Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. Then, she appeared in the show Hellcats. In 2012, she guest-starred in Jane Espenson's second season of her web-based romantic comedy series, Husbands.In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum Also, she appeared in the Eli Roth horror film The Green Inferno as Samantha. While it was filmed in 2012, The Green Inferno was globally released in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science-fiction thriller film Volition. It was released on the 20th of February, 2020. Apanowicz was cast as Sandy in the second season of Netflix thriller You.
