Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She hosts her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, explains the basics of cooking that any person can master. Chef Burrell also has worked in some of New York's top establishments, been studying Italian cuisine and its traditions as well as participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a youngster, living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. She pursued her love of the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most enjoyable time of my life. The Culinary Institute of America was an excellent location to learn. Following graduation, Chef Burrell was in Italy for one year attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, which has had an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten children who are facing difficulties. She also serves as an Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she is an advocate for children with diabetes and awareness. She has been a frequent presenter at conferences, and she travels across the nation in her mentorship task. Anne was always grateful that she was able to share her passion of and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
